The SDGs, or Sustainable Development Goals, are 17 interconnected global goals adopted in 2015 by the UN to create a better, more sustainable future. They try to provide shared goals for action, the involvment for this kind of effort in global, including governments, businesses, and individuals.
Here are listed and briefly described the SDG that guided us and that we would like to have an impact on. Each section explains the SDG in general and the link to our project and this platform, the Targets for each SDG is highlighted as well (from the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development), and the Indicators (versions form 2020) listed as well. Providing a breakdown of what we would like to achieve in the specific.

GOAL 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
The impact of our products on SDG 4 lays on the fact that one of our deliverables (the website) can be considered an ‘’educational tool’’ where it is possible to get information about polarisation and how to mitigate/confront it. Trying to erase differences in educational settings through the tools available on it.
4.5
By 2030, eliminate gender disparities in education and ensure equal access to all levels of education and vocational training for the vulnerable, including persons with disabilities, indigenous peoples and children in vulnerable situations.
4.5.1 Parity indices (female/male, rural/urban, bottom/top wealth quintile and others such as disability status, indigenous peoples and conflict-affected, as data become available) for all education indicators on this list that can be disaggregated.

GOAL 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
SDG 5 is tackled through the empowerment of the idea that everyone deserves equal opportunity despite their gender. This is part of our goals for the creation of the website which aims through its exercises to empower communication and leadership for everyone, specifically marginalized groups like women.
5.1
End all forms of discrimination against all women and girls everywhere.
5.5
Ensure women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making in political, economical and public life.
5.b
Enhance the use of enabling technology, in particular information and communications technology, to promote the empowerment of women.

GOAL 10: Reduce inequality in and among countries.
For this project we want to make people aware that another type of deeper connection between people is possible, one that goes beyond the labels that we use every day (for instance the one listed in SDG 10.2). With this goal in mind is to promote social cohesion and lessen the discrimination and disparities based on status.
10.2
By 2030, empower and promote the social, economic and political inclusion of all, irrespective of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status.
10.3.1 Proportion of population reporting having personally felt discriminated against or harassed in the previous 12 months on the basis of a ground of discrimination prohibited under international human rights law.
10.7
Facilitate orderly, safe, regular and responsible migration and mobility of people, including through the implementation of planned and well-managed migration policies.
10.7.2 Number of countries with migration policies that facilitate orderly, safe, regular and responsible migration and mobility of people.

GOAL16: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels
As mentioned above, the goal of this project is to enhance social cohesion while bridging polarization. This links perfectly with SDG 16, which we took in consideration highlighting the importannce of empathy. Through this practice we aim to see a reduction of violence, both physical and psychological. The goal is not just reducing but also implementing, for example inclusion and representation in the educational, professional and social field.
16.1
Significantly reduce all forms of violence and related death rates everywhere.
16.1.3 Proportion of population subjected to (a) physical violence, (b) psychological violence and (c) sexual violence in the previous 12 months.
16.1.4 Proportion of population that feel safe walking alone around the area they live.
16.7
Ensure responsive, inclusive, participatory and representative decision-making at all levels.
16.7.2 Proportion of population who believe decision-making is inclusive and responsive, by sex, age, disability and population group.
16.b.1 Proportion of population reporting having personally felt discriminated against or harassed in the previous 12 months on the basis of a ground of discrimination prohibited under international human rights law.

GOAL 17: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development
The tools we provide on the website are though at ‘’connection tools’’ whose goal is to achieve what is described in SDG 17.17. It is a platform meant for the public to reach partnership through experiences.
17.17
Encourage and promote effective public, public-private and civil society partnerships, building on the experience and resourcing strategies of partnerships.
